I’ve tried so many workout classes and gyms over the years. While I’ve worked out at home on occasion, I never thought it would be my main form of exercise — until I got a Peloton. Now that I workout from home, an organized workout space is key!

Working Out at Home

We got the Peloton right before Covid hit. After going into quarantine, working out at home became so important. We love how efficient it is to have what we need right here in the house.
We don’t have a ton of extra space for a home gym, but we set up the Peloton in the corner of our upstairs home office. Since the bike is small, it works for us. And since I see it constantly, I tend to workout more than I might if it were tucked away in a basement.
When we got our Peloton, we never realized how much we would use it. Now, I can’t see us going back to a gym — I’d rather get more equipment at the house and create an even bigger workout space here.
Organizing the Space

In addition to the Peloton, we started collecting a lot more accessories: weights, mats, yoga blocks and more. All these little accessories started collecting in our workout space — it started to feel messy and cluttered.
I started looking for a good solution to organize everything, but since the workout space is in my home office, I wanted it to look good. It’s also a small space, so I didn’t want another big piece of furniture. The Open Spaces entryway rack was a great solution because it looks great while being really functional. (Get 10% off Open Spaces with code SARAGMEADOWS10). Almost everything I need for working out fits on it. It improved our workout space so much. I also love the colors it comes in — I chose the light blue to compliment my Chasing Paper blue striped wallpaper.
Here’s what we keep on our Open Spaces rack:
– Weights of various sizes
– Yoga blocks
– Resistance bands
– Towels
– Sneakers for resistance or HIIT workouts
– Spinning shoes

Now we’re so happy working out at home, and I’m especially happy I don’t have to look at a mess of workout accessories! Have you decided to workout at home more?
